My first official SecondHomeSweetHome post…so here goes. I was going to change the title in the top of the page..but what the hey isn’t this Hello to the Blog world? Just like 3 months ago when I walked into my Second Life and said hello world then! So I was driving home from work, which I do everyday, and thinking of things that I love to do in my Second Life. Besides dressing in fabulous clothing, I simply love shopping and decorating for home furnishings! Also, I had just today found an awesome antique store that I bought a ton of items at. So in my driving mind it seemed like a great idea to write about the places I go and see…and if along the way I can take you with me, that is great! But in reality I have such a bad memory this is REALLY going to help me remember where I got stuff from!
So without further… whatever that word is, here is my treasure and tidbits for tonight. Creator Jeannie Moonflower has done a great job at Classic Antiques, Kootenay (210, 86, 111). Of course you will need to enjoy antique decor with a tad bit of Goth thrown in here and there.

First stop is the confessional, I don’t think I’ve been in one of these since I was 14, but that’s another story. Jeannie also has a selection of church like pews right along the same style as this confessional box. If you feel like you need to atone your Second Life sins this number will run you 850L$. If you go to my PhotoBucket Slide Show you will see some of the other pieces I mention here. Along with antiques there are a number of art deco designs. I really enjoy mixing a few pieces from different eras and art deco and Victorian are one of my favorite combinations. In the 3rd PhotoBucket Slide Show picture you will see a living room ensemble that I just loved. What really caught my eye is the mirror above the fire place [art deco lounge couch 700L$ (22 prim), chair 500L$ (21 prim), fireplace 350L$ (7 prim), art deco mantle mirror 200L$ (6 prim), sideboard 500L$ (9 prim) bell shade lamp 350L4 (7 prim)].
The selections of lamps that Jeannie offers is also very fun and whimsy. The pricing runs from 200L$-600L$ and prims range from 4-29.
On the 2nd floor thre are curtains, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and even an antique radiator. There is a more Goth side and that is where I found the gigantic fireplace! In picture 6 of the PhotoBucket Slide Show you can see how tiny I look sitting next to it! [Fireplace 600L$ (23 prim), tools and scuttle sold separate].
One of my favorite items is the Goth Bed in blue with the shiny red bed spread. The details on the head/foot boards is fabulous and only 14 prim, cost is 500L$. There is no scripting in this bed as far as I could tell on the showroom floor.
Up on the 3rd floor there are more modern furnishing such as this cute spotted couch (PhotoBucket Slide Show picture 8). It does have sit scripts and is 13 prims for 500L4. The side table is a must see in person, the red and black on the side swirl [table 200L$ (6 prim), anthuriums 350$L (11 prim), floor lamp 600L$ (20 prim).
Before I left I did take a peak at a cute Bombay chest (PhotoBucket Slide Show picture 9). I did end up taking this one home, along with some other unmentioned items. For 350L$ and only 6 prim I just couldn’t resist!
When you go to visit stop by the funny little cubby on the right when you walk in its a hoot!
